Terms of service

Welcome to Best For The Buck (“BFTB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms“) form a legal agreement between you and SethirophTCG, a Florida limited liability company, governing your access to and use of bestforthebuck.com and any related services, applications, games, content, and features (collectively, the “Service“).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service if you are at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

To redeem physical Pokémon cards or other physical merchandise, you must be at least 18 years old and have verified your age through our verification process. We may require a government-issued ID and your physical shipping address before fulfilling any physical redemption.

The Service is intended for residents of the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

2. Your Account

To access certain features (earning Bux, opening packs, redeeming cards, etc.) you must create an account. When you do, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • Keep your password and login credentials confidential.
  • Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Maintain only one account per person. Multiple accounts owned or operated by the same individual may be terminated and any associated Bux or pulls forfeited.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or any other reason we deem appropriate, with or without notice.

3. Bux: Our Virtual Currency

The Service uses a virtual currency called “Bux.” Bux are used to play certain games, open virtual packs, and interact with features of the Service.

By using Bux, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Bux have no monetary value, are not legal tender, and are not a form of currency, money, or property.
  • Bux are a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use a feature of the Service.
  • You cannot sell, transfer, gift, exchange, or trade Bux to or with any other person.
  • Bux cannot be cashed out, redeemed for money, or converted into real-world currency. Any attempt to do so violates these Terms.
  • Bux balances are subject to forfeiture upon account termination, suspension, or closure for any reason.
  • We reserve the right to adjust, modify, expire, or eliminate Bux balances at our sole discretion.
  • Once Bux are spent on a virtual pack, case, or other item, the transaction is final and non-refundable.

4. Earning Bux (Alternative Method of Entry)

You can earn Bux in two ways:

  1. Free Method (no purchase necessary): Play our free games and complete free activities to earn Bux subject to daily limits. This is the Alternative Method of Entry (“AMOE”) available at no cost to all users with an account.
  2. Paid Method (future): Once available, you may purchase Bux directly. Purchased Bux deliver the same in-Service value and access to the same reward pools as free Bux. Purchasing does not increase your odds of any random outcome.

Free and paid Bux are functionally identical and lead to identical reward pools and odds. No purchase is necessary to access any feature, prize, or reward available through the Service.

Daily Bux earning is subject to caps (currently 200 Bux per 24-hour period, with sub-caps per game). These limits may change at our discretion.

5. Games, Packs, and Chance-Based Features

Certain features of the Service use randomized outcomes (commonly called “loot boxes” or “case openings”), including but not limited to virtual Pokémon pack openings and case opener spins.

For all chance-based features:

  • Pull rates are disclosed on the page where the feature is offered. By using these features, you confirm you have reviewed the disclosed odds.
  • Every virtual pack or case opening will deliver an item or items from the disclosed reward pool — outcomes vary by chance, but no opening results in “nothing.”
  • Random outcomes are determined by our server using a weighted random selection from the disclosed pool.
  • The disclosed estimated values of items reflect typical market values at a point in time. Actual market values fluctuate, and we do not guarantee any specific resale value.
  • We may modify reward pools, pull rates, or pricing at any time. Existing virtual items previously won are not retroactively affected.

6. Physical Card Redemption

Certain virtual items in your collection may be eligible for physical redemption — meaning we will ship you the corresponding physical Pokémon card from our inventory.

To redeem a virtual item physically:

  • You must be at least 18 years old and have completed our age verification process.
  • Your account must be at least 7 days old (anti-fraud measure).
  • Your email must be verified.
  • You must provide a valid U.S. shipping address.
  • For items with an estimated value of $100 or more, signature confirmation on delivery is required.
  • You agree to pay any applicable shipping and handling fees.

We reserve the right to:

  • Substitute an equivalent card if the specific virtual card pulled is out of stock in our physical inventory.
  • Offer a Bux buyback at a premium rate as an alternative to physical fulfillment when stock is unavailable.
  • Refuse or cancel any redemption we suspect is fraudulent or in violation of these Terms.

Once a physical card has been shipped, redemption is final and cannot be reversed. Lost or damaged shipments are handled per our Shipping Policy.

7. Purchasing Bux (When Available)

If and when we offer Bux for purchase, the following terms apply:

  • All purchases are processed in U.S. dollars by third-party payment processors. You agree to provide accurate billing information.
  • Bux purchases are non-refundable once the Bux have been credited to your account, except where required by law or at our sole discretion.
  • You authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for the full purchase amount plus any applicable taxes.
  • Promotional Bux, bonus Bux, or other free Bux may be subject to additional restrictions and may expire.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use bots, scripts, automation tools, or any non-human method to play games, earn Bux, or interact with the Service.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent daily caps, AMOE limits, or any other restriction.
  • Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended behavior to gain Bux, items, or advantage. You agree to promptly report any such issue to us.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Service.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or violation of any applicable law.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users or staff.
  • Resell, sub-license, or commercialize any part of the Service or any Bux without our written permission.

Violation of any of the above may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all Bux and items.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, “Best For The Buck” name, logos, and all original content, is owned by SethirophTCG and protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws.

Important disclaimer regarding Pokémon TCG: Pokémon, the Pokémon TCG, and all associated names, characters, and imagery are trademarks of Nintendo, The Pokémon Company International, Game Freak, and/or Creatures Inc. Best For The Buck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, or any of their affiliates. We offer physical Pokémon cards as a licensed retailer and reference their products solely for the purpose of selling and identifying genuine product.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at sethirophtcg@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Suspected fraud or abuse
  • Inactivity for a prolonged period
  • Discontinuation of the Service

Upon termination, your account, Bux balance, virtual items, and access to the Service may be permanently forfeited. We are not obligated to refund or compensate any Bux balance, virtual items, or paid purchases following termination for cause.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING PULL RATES, ESTIMATED CARD VALUES, OR MARKET PRICES, ALL OF WHICH ARE PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE ONLY.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL [YOUR LLC NAME], ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SethirophTCG and its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pasco County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-Service notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
